Cultivating Global Citizenship Through Responsive, Reflective and Engaged Practices: International Externships

This course will provide students with opportunities to grow in their understanding of the global practice of occupational therapy and in their reflective capacities as global citizens and globally-oriented health care leaders. With the guidance of the course instructor, students will be able to plan a 10-14-day international experience, which they will undertake after completing the 6-session seminar classroom component. While overseas, students will engage in daily reflective practices, and upon their return, will provide a final presentation to their peers on their experience.
