Japanese I (4.0 units)
Basic Japanese conversation practice, basic grammar and building proficiency of reading and writing Hiragana and Katakana (Japanese alphabetical systems) and some basic kanji (Chinese characters).
- Note: Students with previous exposure to Japanese must take a placement exam. D-clearance avilable at language.usc.edu. After Week 1, instructor permission and D-clearance are required.
