French Language and Diction (4.0 units)
Developing competence in listening, vocal pronunciation, speaking, singing, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), reading and writing French. Emphasizes musical texts including French song and operatic arias.
- Note: Final Exam for language will be held on Saturday, May 8th 11am-1pm. The Department of French offers a complementary practicum, FREN 012x, to improve students' French language skills while taking MPVA 261. If interested in taking the FREN 012x practicum, please contact an advisor in THH 155 or call 213-740-3700 for more details and D-clearance.
