Systems Architecting and Engineering 542:
Advanced Topics in Systems Engineering (3.0 units)
Probability theory in systems engineering: test design and performance, reliability and maintainability, quantitative decision models. Constraint theory to manage and de-conflict complex requirements. Complexity theory.
- Prerequisite: SAE 541
- Note: Basic probability theory and various applications in systems engineering: system test design and performance, quantitative decision model, system reliability, maintainability and availability, and exploration of fundamental concepts in resilient systems engineering. Introduction to constraint theory as an engineering tools kit to detect, manage and de-conflict complex system requirements.
