Study of laws concerning marriage, inheritance, slavery, immigration and the allocation of public space and how they have organized historical constructions of race and sex.
  • General Education: This course satisfies the university's general education requirement.
  • Crosslist: This course is offered by the HIST department but may qualify for major credit in SWMS. To register, enroll in HIST 265.
