History of evolutionary thought; molecular basis for evolution; dynamics of genes in populations; specialization and macroevolution; patterns of evolution. Recommended preparation: BISC-320, BISC-325, and familiarity with algebra, basic chemistry, and basic physics.
- Prerequisite: 1 from (BISC 220 or BISC 221) and 1 from (BISC 120 or BISC 121)
