Behavior of manmade and natural materials at different scales; experimental methods to characterize behavior; governing equations, interscale coupling, information exchange; probabilistic representations; error analysis. Prerequisite: AME 525 or AME 526 or CE 525 or CE 526.

  • Restriction: Registration open to the following class level(s): Doctoral Student, Master Student, Professional Year 1
  • Crosslist: This course is offered by the CE department but may qualify for major credit in AME. To register, enroll in CE 647.
