Readings of major texts of Italian literature of the 15th and16th centuries, including works by Petrarch, the Humanists,Lorenzo de'Medici, Ariosto, Machiavelli, Castiglione, and Tasso.
  • General Education: This course satisfies the university's general education requirement.
  • Note: Gender and Sexuality in the Renaissance. Male and female writers including Boccaccio, Machiavelli, Michelangelo, and Veronica Franco and their poems, stories, plays and more.
