Introduction to Transport Processes in Porous Media (3.0 units)

Properties of porous rocks; capillarity effect, single-phase and multiphase fluid flow through porous media; diffusion and dispersion, miscible displacement, heat transfer. Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 3 hours.
  • Prerequisite: 1 from (CHEM 105A or CHEM 115A) and (MATH 245 and PHYS 151)
  • Crosslist: This course is offered by the PTE department but may qualify for major credit in CHE. To register, enroll in PTE 463.
