CHEM 105aLg: General Chemistry (4.0 units)
Fundamental principles and laws of chemistry; laboratory work emphasizes quantitative procedures. Prerequisite to all more advanced courses in chemistry. Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory and discussion, 4 hours. Quiz, 1 hour.
- Prerequisite: CHEM 050
- General Education: This course satisfies the university's general education requirement.
- Note: Register for one lecture, quiz and one lab. Concurrent enrollment in CHEM 050 or passing of Chemistry and Math Placement tests. All students are required to take both Chemistry and Math Placement tests. For lecture questions, email coord105@chemmail.usc.edu. This course carries GE credit but it is intended for a specific group of students rather than a general student audience. It is part of the curriculum for majors and pre-professional students. All labs are currently on a waitlist. Spaces that appear available may have been offered to another student already. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email Dr. Skibo (skibo@usc.edu) with your USC ID number, the course you want to enroll in (105a or 105b) and all the lab times (not section numbers) that fit in your schedule.
